My Lloyd :)

Lloyd during our walk today :)

Lloyd busy painting

Lloyd putting on the first coat of the colour going above the border.....its an of white colour with a slight lilacy shade in it...then he is painting all the trim and windows white......the light fitting is being changed and the girls will have white wooden buknbeds......I can't wait to see it finished - before this it had a nasty 80's style border on white walls and was a 'sports' theme......oh and the blue blinds will be gone too and there will be pretty curtains instead......

The other pictures are of the view from the girls side window.......it shows how flooded the pond and woods are :)

Moose alert!

The first thing we saw when we got up to the side field was a moose eating bark off of the trees at the edge of the wood.......I didn't get a very good picture but you can tell its a moose (just about lol)

I don't think these pics would win that Moose pic contest Heather!!!

The Thaw...............

Pictures of the snow as it melts.........bye bye snow......

Pictures from our walk.......

Silly girl!!!

Rosie loves being in th epond all summer long...she is constantly greenn from the duck weed...unfortunately the ice doesn't stop her from wanting to be in the pond...today she was alking on the ice and it collapsed beneath her and she was straight though........you could see by her breathing that it was a shock to her system...I am SOOOOOO glad that we were with her or I dread to think what could have happened......

My Rosie-posy........

My Amber-girl.........

Amber enjoying her walk today.......

Poop extravaganza!!!!

Lloyd and I went for a walk earlier and I took the camera to get pictures of the thaw.....the first thing we saw was a moose at the edge of the wood.....and then we came across a lot of poop!!!

Moose poop, porcupine poop and deer poop!!!!

Is it odd that I get excited about animal poop???? :)

Well - if Heather can post pictures of poop then so can I lol! I'm not the only strange person..... ;)

The results are in!!

I came 4th!!! I had 126 points and third place got 126.5 points and 2nd place got 127.5 points - so it was very close and I am very pleased I know I did the best I could and Caro did win - I knew she would - her pieces were beautiful.....

I am happier this time because I know I did my best...and last time I didn't feel that I did my best....

Now (thanks to Michelles blog www.craftybanshee.blogspot.com) I am working on my 'hands' layout for a contest.....go visit Michelles blog to find out more and see how you can help raise funds for MD.....

Losing yourself in creativity:

Are you creative? I know I lose myself in creativity frequently...I love creating all kinds of things...from cakes and gardens to paintings and albums..........I find it so therapeutic....

Losing Yourself in the Divine:
Creativity as a Spiritual Practice
by Lucia Capacchione, Ph.D.
When you create you lose yourself in your creation. Time seems to stand still and all else is forgotten. You participate in the divine play that is creativity. These moments offer a glimpse of who you really are: a being fashioned in the image and likeness of God. Like the source of all creation, you are a creator, too. It is your divine birthright. The person who says "I'm not creative" is uttering blasphemy. The truth is that you are the Creative Self expressing through the human vessel of your body, emotions, mind, and soul. Creativity flows through you as a universal life force, called by many names throughout the ages: chi, prana, shakti, the Holy Spirit. It is this energy of love flowing through you that also gives life to your creations.

The medium in which you create is irrelevant. It doesn't matter whether you write a business proposal, play a piano sonata, or prepare a delicious meal. You may be seeking to resolve one of life's mundane problems or express deep feelings and insights through poetry. Embrace your creation as a lover and you can break through to another realm. When you stick with it for better or for worse, your creation becomes your guru (Sanskrit meaning "from darkness to light").

Losing yourself in the divine embrace of the creative process, you disappear. Your ego or limited sense of separateness vanishes, and you emerge into the vast ocean that is creativity. This is an altered state of intuitive awareness in which you renounce control from your head alone. Instead, you allow the Creative Self to flow through your heart, your body, and your intuition. Then you are taken to places you can never go in your ordinary waking state. This road leads eventually to moments of divine bliss described by ecstatic poets like Rumi, Kabir, and Lalli.

A quote for today!

Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Have great dreams and dare to live them. Have tremendous expectations and believe in them.

by Norman Vincent Peale

Easter Monday....

The Iron Chef contest round 2 is now closed and they say the results will be announced by lunchtime today!! So I am constantly checking the site to see if I made it through...I know I haven't won my group - the girl who won last time will win because her pieces are so great! (look at the readers gallery at 'Caro's' work!!!!)

I just want to make it through to round 3!!!! :) Several people in the contest didn't bother this round so the numbers are down...groups are getting smaller naturally it seems rather than people getting knocked out......but I want to get through to round 3 :) I am learning so much from this contest - I had never used bling before or monograms....wasn't keen on ribbons and stickers were ok but boring...so I am learning how to use all these things in different ways and it is inspiring!!!!

Wish me luck!!!
