Peepee Teepee's....

Yesterday while we were out looking for bunkbeds for the girls, we were in E-Children on 169th St....

They also sell all kinds of baby bedroom sets and blankets....just baby stuff in general...well one of the things they sell (apart from crystal encrusted soothers/ dummies lol!) were PEEPEE TEEPEE's.........little cones of terry towelling that you place over the baby boys penis to stop him peeing into the air......

I can't quite believe that parents these days think these things are needed and are happy to spend good money on them.....I've had three boys and have NEVER needed a peepee teepee lol (OMG even the name is ridiculous) Wjat is wrong with being quick and covering his bits up with the diaper or a little towel or old face cloth or something???? Why on earth would you want to buy something for this - that happens maybe once or twice in the first few weeks only and if it happens more than once or twice its because you haven't learned to speed up or cover it with the diaper lol!!

Susan - congratulations on your little girl (I saw the ultrasound post!!!) How wonderful!!!! I guess this means I can't buy you a peepee teepee as a baby gift???????????

I don't think I know anyone expecting a baby boy - I wish I did - I want to buy someone a peepee teepee!!!!!

Lynne!!!

I'm guessing you have moved house or are very busy and about to! Good luck in your new home!! I hope you will all be so happy there - I'm sad that I can't picture you in your old home any more...I liked that when I heard from you I could close my eyes and see you up in the window waving :)

Oh and Lloyd asked if you took the blue wooden plant thingy.....lol! will it be at your new home???? ;)

Please email me your new address as soon as you can!!!!

Thinking of you all!

Lots of love from
Jane

PS In my weightwatchers magazine today it says that Scotland is recommending children under 5 only have haggis once a week because of rising obesity levels in Scotland. I think this is sooooo funny - I hardly think Scotlands obesity levels are to do with the amount of haggis children there eat lol!

As much as I love Haggis, I don't think it is something kids eat a LOT of........probably more to do with the McDonalds and chicken nuggets and bags of crisps they eat lol.....just like everywhere else ;)

I now have visions of all these Americans believing that Scottish children eat Haggis for dinner every night!

Gorgeous gorgeous weather!!

At last!!! The weather is so great at last.......and is set to stay this way I believe only dropping a couple of degrees on Sunday!

I had a nice day......so easy to have a good day when its warm and sunny outside! There wasn't even a hint of a breeze as I drove past those flooded fields again......you could see the reflections of the trees and hay bales etc in the water because it was so still....

I dropped Abigail to preschool and then drove over to the Esso garage to meet Val for breakfast...her little Foster Son won't be with her much longer and that will seem strange - since I have known her (in real life) she has always had him with her...so it will be odd to meet her without him.....he's so cute - loves bouncing - mainly on Vals lap :) Not so easy to eat brekky with a bouncy baby lol! Sam did well until he got bored and decided he wanted to go...but we made it to 11am and then headed home for a while.....Sam played out on the porch with his sandbox and his sit and ride tractor thingy....

We picked Abigail up and came home for lunch...then I vacuumed and did some laundry and then we all went outside...Sam and Abigail put their welly boots on and splashed in the puddles with Charlie our pig....I took garbage sacks and and poop scoop bags outside and cleaned up as much dog poop as I could and picked up a LOT of garbage....

Spring clean-up is a big job over here....during the winter you can't do much cleaning up and so when the snow clears there is garbage everywhere and dog poop etc....not just our yard but most yards and all by the sides of the roads......it doesn't take long to get it cleaned up but its a hell of a job!

I did the front of the house and down the driveway and all arund the garbage box at the end of the driveway......then the children got home from school and we all came indoors...I got in the bath as I felt really grimy from picking up all the rotten poo and garbage.....Chris made me a cup of tea.....

Lloyd got home and I started dinner...we had those garlic veggie balls with rice and vegetables and Thai sweet chilli sauce (mmmm)

Now Lloyd is painting in the girls room...the chidlren are doing their chores (dishwasher4/ feeding animals etc) and Abigail is drawing portraits of everyone....

Tomorrow I have to go into town and get a birthday gift for Susannahs friend....I also have to go to the scrapbook store for some adhesive and a very BIG brad that I need for the Iron Chef Contest.....and maybe some walnut ink....

Tomorrow night is family movie night at the local community hall......we have to take cushions or chairs to sit on and there is a big screen for the movie to be shown on.....and they are selling refreshments :) so I am taking Laurie, Susie and Abigail - and a friend of Susannahs......

Then Saturday is SCRAPARAMA!!!!! Yay :)
