My altered item for this week......

This is for round 3 of the Iron Chef contest.....I think I may do some more stamping on it somewhere...I had to use 'tags and stamps' on this piece and so I created a mini album that can be used as a wall hanging.....

I cut the tags into the shape of sunflower petals....Cori kindly gave me one of her jumbo brads which I embossed in a copper powder for the centre of the flower.......I attached ribbon to hang the flower with....

On the reverse of the petals I have attached pictures of my family with little messages about them....and the whole flower folds up into a mini album to keep in a purse!!!

I am thrilled with the idea but not so thrilled with the results but I am running out of time - my Nephew arrives tomorrow and I still have a card and a layout to make for this round by Sunday.........

Charlie-barley......

A few snapshots of Charlie.....she doesn't live in the house any more - she has a bed in the barn until the new run and 'house' are built when the ground thaws, but she is out and about with us all day when its warm enough, and if the front door is left open then in she walks!!!! She made a real mess yesterday eating a banana in the kitchen!

Back in place

Now the snow has gone, we could finally get the trampoline back in its rightful place (instead of on the driveway where it has been stuck for the last couple of weeks!!! And the children have been enjoying it for the last few days - unfortunately so has Rosie our younger golden retriever...she keeps climbing on too and we keep finding her on there!!!! Silly dog!

Rollercoaster fun!!!

Listening to the children rolling along the driveway in the wagon reminded me of the sounds of the rollercoasters in the Magic Kingdm...especially the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride.......Sam and Abby had their hands in the air and were loving the whole ride as Chris pulled them along our driveway yesterday.......

a walk with Charlie...

Sam taking a walk with Charlie on Sunday.....

Laurie leaning over the old gate in the lower back field.... :)

Another first of the year!!!

The chalks came out at the weekend and the children had a blast drawing all over the porch and driveway ;)

First of the year...

We saw a butterfly a couple of weeks ago, but on Sunday we found the first caterpillar of the year :) Spring must truly be here :)

See how they run!!!

Sam watched the mice run in all directions and then tried to catch them but they run too fast :)

Mouse holes...

Now that the snow has gone, we can see all the little mouse holes in the grass...from mice and shrews and the like!

They are perfect little circles chewed from the grass - and the other end of the tunnel has a little tuft of grass they have kicked out :) Very cute!

Free at last.....

Some pictures of the mice being set free......

Going home....

Here are the mice that Lloyd has been looking after for the last couple of weeks....on Sunday we took them up onto the side field and set them free....the snow has almost all gone now and its warm enough out for them to go free again :) Aren't they cute?
