Welcome to the 21st Century Dad!!

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome my Mom and Dad to the 21st Century...as of today my parents have high speed internet! No more dial-up :)

How are you liking it so far Dad?

I think next time my In-Laws come to stay I should take my Mother In Law Terry Ice skating!!!!!! If an 87 year old can do it then a spry young thing like my Mother In Law should have no problem!

How was your day?

Mine has been nice! Lazy morning....stayed in bed until 9am and then slowly got up and showered...pottered about....let the chickens out, fed/ watered all the animals...did some laundry.....posted a question on LP......but mainly lazing about......and spending time outside with Abby and Sam.

After lunch Val came over with her little guy (who I got to snuggle with and who gives you the most amazing upper arm workout by bouncing constantly on your lap while you hold him up!!!!!)

We sat outside and had coffee while the children and chickens all basically drove us crazy ;) Poor Val was amazingly calm about the whole thing even when one of the chickens decided she wanted to sit on Vals lap!

My older three arrived home just after 2pm as its early-out today. Chaos continued...then a few spots of rain fell and we moved indoors where my children all sat around Vals little guy as if he was some amazing new toy!!! You'd think they had never seen a baby before!

Val met some of my Hummingbirds :) oh and she met Charlie too (who had garbage all over her snout at the time YUCK!!!!)

So I'm sure Val left here thinking we live in a complete mad house and was probably happy to get back to the calm of her own home ;)

Now I have to make dinner for the children - its date night and although we aren't having a proper date night we are still going to go and grab something to eat out....but we don't plan to be out for long as Lloyd wants to work on the climbing frame and I want to go for a run tonight with Laurie...

I didn't have my truck today as Lloyd took it in for its service, but he's just picked it up and is stopping off at the farm place to pick up animal food.....he should be home soon.

My head hurts because I didn't really eat today.....

Oh and Val told me that Cairo our cat is partly chocolate pointed siamese! I had no idea! So we have a posh barn cat ;)

My house stinks of garbage!!!!

Charlie got into the garbage in the garage earlier - so Susie was picking it all up for me BUT she left the door between the house and the garage open and now my house smells horribly of garbage....

Grrrrrrrr

I can't WAIT to have a trash compactor.....

Sharon...

Where'd you go? I notice you haven't been at LP or here at my blog much lately - I only see the occasional post from you.....how dare you have a life!!!! ;)

I hope you and yours are well anyway!

For Rhonda....

Please everyone keep my friend Rhonda in your thoughts today. Today is the one year anniversary of her Dads death and I know she's having a very difficult and emotional week...

Rhonda - you are in my thoughts today.
