Thinking of Tess!!

I just want to say that I am thinking of Tess this week. Tess has taken the major step of giving up smoking. Today is day 2 and although she is finding it really difficult today, I KNOW she can do this :)

I'm really proud of you Tess. I can't begin to imagine what you are going through right now, but you are in my thoughts and if you need anything you know where I am!

What you are doing is an amazing thing for YOU, for your FAMILY and for your FUTURE FAMILY too :)

You won't regret it :)

If I were a kind of weather I would be: sunny

If I were a musical instrument I would be: Flute

Great Movie!!!

We curled up and watched this on Friday night!!! Georgia Rule!!! WONDERFUL!!!! I laughed out loud and cried through it too :) The sign of a VERY good movie! Definitely a dvd I plan to buy :)

One of my favourite scenes from the movie that made me laugh out loud:

Harlan: You have to go with me to talk to June. I want to tell her in person.
Rachel: Tell her what?
Harlan: That we have to get married.
Rachel: What?
Harlan: It's the only way God will forgive us!
Rachel: Oh my God, Harlan, I gave you a blow job!
Harlan: [suddenly embarrassed] Um, thank you for breakfast, Miss Georgia. Rachel, I'll see you in the truck.
Rachel: [to her grandmother, exasperated] No good deed goes unpunished!

Just perfect!

We had the most amazing weekend relaxing at home....so much to post about......for now I will leave you with all the pictures below.....

Lets just say that I didn't want the weekend to end! It was just wonderful! I'm quite glad the weather changed on Monday as it made it easier for Lloyd to go back to work and the week to start. It was just a wonderful weekend of hanging out at home and being together!

Thank you Lloyd for a lovely weekend :)

Susie.....

Susannah shoveled piles of snow into the big puddle to melt it fast and make the puddle bigger for Sam on Saturday!

Charlie...

Charlie is so happy that the good weather is here and the snow is all gone! She spent all the time outside with us and had her fair share of S'mores!!! One happy piggy :) Soon all her hair will fall out for Summer :)

Starting to look like summer!

It just needs to green up!!!! It's so nice to have the yard all clean and tidy again after winter! The next warm day I get I want to tackle weeding this flower bed in the picture - in fact we're removing a lot of the plants in it this year and a lot of the soil as its all clay and Lloyd is bring in a lot of new soil to replace the horrible soil (my Mom will be thrilled to read this I am sure).

Smores.....

We had our first fire in the firepit at the weekend and on Sunday made Smores. Chris (the lazy thing that he is, found this ENORMOUS stick...so long that he didn't have to move from his chair.....can you see how long it is???? It was like a fishing rod!!! He literally had to reel in the marshmallow!!! It was hilarious!!

Hanging boxes

Lloyd was busy at the weekend hanging bird boxes!

Rhubarb!!!

Our rhubarb is starting to shoot up already!!

Somersault!

Chris on the trampoline!

I think I flooded the engine Dad!

Sitting in bertha!

home

From a new angle.......a different scene from a week ago now all the snow has gone! Saturdays temperature was 19c and Sundays temperature was 24.9c!!!!!!!!

I thought I should add - for those of you not in Canada - everything here goes brown in Winter because of how cold it gets. the grass dies off and just turns brown....so if we don't get snow it still goes brown - so we either have a White Christmas or a brown Christmas!

Then in Spring the snow melts and everything is brown like this for a few weeks and it looks almost Fall like - and then all of a sudden over a few days it just greens up suddenly - we can already see green patches in places - in town today I could see a lot of green - and here in some places we can see green grass coming through - then a few days of warm weather and the trees will be reen and the grass will turn green and you won't recognise the place! But for now everything is brown!

It isn't like England where everything stays green all year long!

Laurie

Laurie helping clean up the yard at the weekend....and Laurie playing on his quad bike afterwards :) going through the side woods :)

fungus!

Another picture of one of those cute little toadstool things growing in the plant pots! I love my macro lens!!! I'm going to have so much fun with it outside this Summer - be prepared for close ups of bugs and all kinds of weird and wonderful things!

Sams boat

Laurence helped Sam make his little wooden sailboat kit at the weekend, and it went on it's maiden voyage across the big puddle! What fun!
