Susie keeps singing....

...despite a few distractions....lol!!!

My first attempt at a vlog!!! :)

Fun trying to make it :) I give up trying to find peace and quiet in this house to make one ;)

Hoar frost....

Pop over to the Yellow Farmhouse and check out the stunning Hoar Frost pictures form today.....Winter can be sooooo beautiful!  We are having gorgeous temperatures but it doesn't feel that warm actually because it's so grey out!!!  I think it actually felt warmer yesterday because it was sunny!  Amazing how warm that sunshine can make you feel even on a cold day!!

Ok...back to my decluttering!!  Inspired by Rhona  I am decluttering my bedroom closets and my bathroom cupboards....and getting rid of lots of 'stuff'!!!

Oh and last night I found a Ladybug walking about on the wall!!!  Sam was soooooo thrilled :)  He made a home for it for ages with his Lego and then they set it free on Lloyds new houseplant.....Summer is JUST around the corner......lol :)

Remember the Robin???

This is the same English Robin from the photo the other day.....back in October, in my Father in Laws garden.  He likes my Father in Law and follows him around the garden.  So while Chris was gardening, the Robin was sat on the path beside him watching!!!

Click on the picture to see the piccy bigger!!  Isn't the garden lovely???

Hello Terry and Chris!!  Waving from Canada!!!!

The power of 15 minutes...

A wonderful post on the power of 15 minutes can be found HERE

I love this lady's blog....so calming.....I am starting a thankfulness art journal like hers.  I haven't used my art journals for ages and I like the idea of one like hers which is soooo simple....combining a gratitude journal and art journal in one.  I think maybe Abigail could do one too!

What are your favourite blogs and blog posts at the moment???  What are you finding inspiring???

Ukrainian Cultural Village

Yesterday Susannah's class went to the Ukrainian Cultural Village to learn about celebrating the Ukrainian Christmas and New Year as a Ukrainian Pioneer.  She had such a wonderful day!  They made  perogies (Ukrainian dumplings often filled with potato and cottage cheese or bacon or onion etc etc but yesterday they had prunes in them) and bread (which Susie brought home for us all to try and I have to say it was THE most DELICIOUS bread EVER!!!!  Sorry Lloyd but it was light and fluffy and slightly sweet and it was just sooooo yummy!!!  I want the recipe!!!!  Yum!!!!  And I don't normally like white bread!!!

They had a horse drawn sleigh ride and they had tours of the various houses and Churches there.

All in all a wonderful day with her friends from school!  Susannah took her camera and she was texting me from her friends cellphone on the bus so I was texting back and told her friend to be sure to get some pictures of Susie on Susies camera too - often kids forget to get pictures of themselves on these trips!!! Anyway I have just posted a small selection for you here :)  If you ever get the chance to go to this centre then do - I find it much more interesting to go on their 'special occasion' days rather than just a normal opening day.....but it is well worth a visit anyway!!!

Poor Mr Snowman...

Mr Snowman is NOT doing well.

He is looking very thin.  He is looking rather ill.  Rather feverish perhaps....mind you, it was 5c when I woke up this morning!!!!  i was in shock!!!  5c at 7:30am!!!!  On January 15th!!!  :)

While we were there Rosie was looking a little guilty and a little tempted and then.... just as we said goodbye to Mr snowman...Rosie snatched away his ARM and ran off with it!!!!  His arm!!!!!

Abby and I were in fits of giggles!!!

On the good side, we HAD left him a new nose - a goldfish cracker!!  Yum!  I wonder if it will still be there tomorrow!!

We didn't take the camera today but we will take it tomorrow and see how Mr Snowman is and report back with pictures of his demise!!!  :)

For Rhona...

Rhona - this is a picture of the front of my house from the driveway...

And this is a picture of the back yard (the markings are made by the quadbike in this picture.  This isn't the driveway):

Why do you scrapbook??

This WONDERFUL video is part of a blogpost by the AMAZING Shimelle who ran the Journal Your Christmas class that I took. She is doing a project over at her blog all about why we choose to scrapbook. Very interesting and well wort a trip over to her blog - and well worth watching this video :)

If you can't see this video clearly because it doesn't fit here and I'm a complete technophobe who doesn't know how to make it fit (lol) you can click HERE and see it on youtube instead and watch it BIG!!!! :)

Why do YOU scrapbook?

For Val ;)

Just to prove Amber WAS with us ;)

I did reply to you in the post below but thought I'd add some pictures too ;)
For evidence ;)
Amber is looking at the camera in one of them lol!!!
We call Amber our 'dumb blonde' lol
She does have a nicer coat though - so much easier to groom - Rosies is soooo thick and matts so easily!!
