Building cannons...

Sam building the cannon from the kit he got at the reuse centre the other day!  Abby made one too - they were great little kits with wooden pieces, paint and glue complete with instructions!!  They had great fun building the cannons and painting them!!

:)

Tuesday night......

Headed to Montanas for some supper tonight.  It took so long for someone to come and take our order that I went and asked if we could be served.  They were so apologetic that the Manager came out and apologised and came over with drinks for us.  She came and got refills for us too.

We were offered free desserts but we were so full we couldn't eat them!  When we got the bill though, we saw they had knocked $30. off!!!  :)  So in the end our dinner out only cost us $20.  We'd had the big platter for appetisers too...and two big main courses...so that was really nice of them!!

Laurence and I ran to Bulk Barn tonight to get some British bits and pieces for Christmas.  Got my Christmas pud - yay!!  And stuffing :)  And a few other bits and pieces - and gold coins for Sam because he wants to play the dreidel game.

I couldn't resist getting some of my favourite chocolate covered sunflower seeds!!  Mmmmm!!
They are so pretty and yummy :)

Homeschool club....

We had various Christmas activities, stories, games and dancing, playing to music today at homeschool club.  Sam had a blast playing Transformers with his friends as well as a game which involved being fire and water and birds using the ribbon bands they had on their arms.

Next month we have an instructor coming to teach us drumming :)

We also chose a great selection of Christmas themed story books which we checked out to read at home!!  They are ready in the book basket by the fire, so we can curl up and read them and be all cozy over the next week or two :)

Snapshot from the tree...

Tree Skirt :)

Abby chose this tree skirt - I just LOVE it :)  I've never had a tree skirt before but I just love that it hides the legs of the tree and I think it goes so well with our home :)

The children love it :)  It will be perfect for the gifts to go on, on Christmas morning :)

Tuesday stuff....

Well it's Tuesday lunchtime and our morning so far has been spent making a wooden cannons from kits we got at the reuse centre.  They come with sandpaper, little tools, paints and glue!!

Doing some math homework...reading up on the American Girl class that is happening tomorrow - this month focuses on Felicity.

This afternoon we are off to Education Station to get paper chains.  75ft of them lol!  :)  and then to Homeschool Club at the library!!  :)  Then home again and the little two want to go sledding before their Dad picks them up.  Then Laurence and I are heading out for the evening.  I want to see if I can track down a decent Christmas pudding!  I normally order mine online but forgot this year...so I'm hoping I can still find one in one of the British stores somewhere.....

Yesterday we had a busy day.  I had to run some errands in town..then we went to the mall and got some pj's for Abby and pants for Sam as he has had a bit of a growth spurt and all his pants are too short!  So he now has some that are a little too long but they don't seem to have any in between the two sizes!!

We picked Laurence up from school and took him to his job interview at Walmart.  His interview lasted a whole hour which surprised me!  He obviously did great though, because they offered him the job on the spot and he starts saturday :)  He'll be working in the new Walmart that opens after Christmas :)  Yay for Laurence I'm so proud of him!!  He got his SIN number Friday, applied for a job that night, got the interview for Monday and was offered the first job he applied for!!  Yay Laurence!!!  :)

I have to get him boots with steel toe caps before Saturday!!  And they have to wear hard hats until the store is open!!

We didn't get home until after 6 last night....so we ended up just having pizza and salad for supper...but it was a yummy grilled chicken, spinach and tomato pizza!!  Even I enjoyed it, and I don't like pizza!!  Then we settled down to watch 'Jingle All the Way', snuggled under blankets, with candy canes, by the glow of the Christmas lights and the fire :)

Bliss :)
